Rebecca Gouchie's Pet Training
Your First Class
Coming to your very first training class can be both exciting and overwhelming! Brining the necessary tools can help set you, and your dog, up for success when you arrive.
What to Bring:

Collar & Leash
6' leash and flat collar is required. You may bring a harness, martingale, head halter, and/or long lead in addition.

Toy
Your dog's favourite toy
This will be used as a reward and for breaks taken during class

Treats
2 cups+ of smelly treats broken into 1cm pieces.
Ex: boiled chicken sandwich meat, cheese, hot dogs, beef liver

DO NOT BRING
Your dog's kibble is not sufficient as a reward in a distracting environment like the classroom.

Vaccination Records
Vaccination record for Distemper, Parvo, Parainfluenza, and Rabies. The expiry date and veterinarian's signature must be shown.

DO NOT BRING
Retractable leashes are not allowed in class.

All students should arrive 20 minutes early before class to allow their dog to get used to the environment. You should not feed your dog any large amounts of food shortly before arriving.

If you have a very high energy dog, you may find it beneficial to provide your dog with light exercise before class.
